Local historian, genealogist and author of several genealogy books

Jocelean Hall was born in Manners Sutton, N.B. on October 13, 1933. At the age of 22 she contacted polio, but she continued to embrace life with courage and grace.

Jo was a noted amateur historian, genealogist and author of several genealogy books. Having a great interest in genealogy she single-handedly compiled genealogies for most of the families in the greater Harvey area. She was one of the founding members of the first Harvey Historical Association. She donated all of her work to Gerry Piercy, founding president of the newly formed Harvey Regional Heritage & Historical Association, where it is preserved for future generations.

Jo passed away on December 10, 2010.
