2026 Annual General Meeting

The most significant event of our spring calendar is on the horizon: our 2026 Annual General Meeting. This is our most important meeting of the year. It is a time to celebrate our accomplishments, reflect on our progress, elect our Board of Directors, and take a look forward at the year to come.
We are currently seeking engaged community members to join our leadership team. If you have a passion for local history, we encourage you to stand for the board or put forward a nomination during the business portion of the evening.
We hope you will join us for an evening of light bureaucracy with two special presentations!
FEATURED PRESENTATIONS
The Impacts of Architectural Restoration
Meg Doughty and Aaron Rasenberg | Archwood Millwork & Restoration
Repair, restore, reuse. In a society groomed to consume, the rapid cycle of production, consumption, and replacement of our material culture has put at risk our sense of place and community, our environment and depleted our natural resources. The history of a place, storied and embodied by objects of material culture, hand in hand with the health of the local environment, is what makes a place a desirable place to inhabit. This is what motivates an approach to our historic homes and buildings that is characterised by stewardship. For buildings in danger of disappearing, the repair and adaptive reuse of these structures is a way to conserve wealth while reducing waste. It is an approach that helps build a thriving local economy, a healthy environment, and a vibrant sense of community.
