Harvey Pentecostal Church

Undated photo of the Pentacostal church in Harvey, York Co, Nb.

Worship of the Pentecostal faith in the Harvey area began in the 1940’s.  At first, there was no physical church so that services were held in adherents’ homes then by 1949 in a member’s garage. In 1952, a church was built at the present site on Route 3 near the Harvey Community Health Centre.  It was dedicated in the spring of 1953.  Twenty three years later in 1976, a larger church was built behind the old one which was torn down in 1977.
