Local resident, Andy Royer who is now (2025)  President of the Royal Canadian Legion  Branch #7 in McAdam, New Brunswick, applied to the Canadian Department of National Defense to obtain a surplus military tank as a memorial to those who served in the Canadian Military.  It was presented to the Village of Harvey in the late 1980s or early 1990s and located at the site of the Cenotaph along Route 3 honouring local soldiers who died in World Wars I and II.

It is a Lynx command and reconnaissance amphibious tank used by the Canadians in the late 1960s to early 1990s. This particular tank was used in Germany during the cold war and for peace keeping in Cyprus.
