Riverside Presbyterian Church

The Riverside Presbyterian Church, now located at Kings Landing, New Brunswick in Prince William, holds a rich history that reflects the evolving faith landscape of the region.  The original Presbyterian church in the area was handed over to the United Church congregation at the time of the merging of the Methodists, Congregationalists, and some Presbyterians in 1927.  Some Presbyterians decided not to join the United Church and consequently built a new church nearby called the Riverside Presbyterian Church.  It was dedicated on September 23, 1928. In the 1960s, to protect the building from flooding caused by the creation of the Mactaquac Dam headpond, the church was moved across the road. In 2000, the church was relocated to Kings Landing, where it remains a significant historical landmark.  A video documenting the move can be viewed here.
