Cemeteries in the Harvey Rural Community

Graveyards and cemeteries are an important part of the history and heritage of the Harvey Rural Community. Throughout the region, you will find cemeteries in various locations, each with its own story to tell.

Some cemeteries were traditionally attached to churches and are referred to as graveyards, while others were established as community cemeteries, welcoming individuals of all faiths. Additionally, some burial sites were created on private property, serving as final resting places for families or specific groups.

Today, some cemeteries in the Harvey area remain active, continuing to serve the community, while others have been closed over time.

Below, you will find a list of cemeteries in the region, many of which are linked to Find A Grave, a free online resource affiliated with Ancestry.com. This website provides information about each cemetery and includes lists of individuals buried there. However, as Find A Grave is maintained by volunteers, the records may be incomplete, and some burials may not have been recorded or marked.

If you know of a cemetery that is not listed, we encourage you to notify us at harveyhistoricalassociation@gmail.com.

Harvey Heritage also holds additional historical records and information on some of the cemeteries in its archives. If you are interested in learning more, please feel free to contact us.
