A 1954 photo of a barn raising at the farm of Gates Piercy in Tweedside. Neighbours from near and far came to help at the ‘barn raising frolic’, and 107 men were fed on the day of the frolic. The original barn burned on May 30th, 1954. The new barn was built and completed in the fall of 1954.
