St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Newmarket went through two different constructions.  The first church was started sometime after 1883 but was blown down before it was completed. Soon after, a second church was built.  A third construction was planned aroun 1914 but then it was decided only to do repairs. The land for the church in Newmarket was donated by Patrick McDermott. The mission of St. Patrick was administered from Fredericton until 1883.
