Environmentalists, educators, dedicated community volunteers
Edward and Nancy Christie are long time residents of the Harvey, York County, New Brunswick. They are a married couple and were submitted as a team because of their intertwined contributions to the community and beyond. So much of what they do is as a team, yet they also have made their own unique and individual contributions to the community. Accomplishments include but are not limited to the collection of biological samples for research that eventually led to the discovery of the gene for early onset Alzheimers, the founding of the Harvey Lake Association, fundraising for important community objectives, and passing along their experience through training and teaching.
