T. Kay Craig

Founder and first Chief of the Harvey Volunteer Fire Department

T. Kay Craig organized the Harvey Volunteer Fire Department in 1947 that evolved from the local Civil Defence organization established after the 2nd WW. He and served as its chief until 1977 building the department into an effective fire fighting organization. His legacy is the present day strong and vibrant Harvey Fire Department with over 50 volunteers with impressive high tech equipment that serves our community and the surrounding area.  He served as President of the New Brunswick Fire Chiefs Association, received the Queen’s Silver Jubillee Medal, and the Fire Chief Office Medal.
